Set into a third of an acre, Amokura relaxes over five levels, integrated into its gardens and grounds and making full aesthetic use of the neighbouring scenic and recreational reserves. A private lane leads one away from the main road down to the house and grounds. Approaching through the upper garden, one arrives at the lodge entrance.

On the main lodge level, the living area and gallery open onto the upper lawn, a peaceful, open retreat set around an outdoor indoor way of living uniquely suited to Queenstown's climate. The upper lawn includes a barbecue area and is used throughout the seasons for alfresco dining, summer cocktails, and après ski round the roaring fire with mulled wine in hand.

Our private apartment enjoys a level of its own, complete with apartment patio for sun drenched summer breakfasts, and opening onto the lower lawn, for more spacious relaxing and entertaining.

Below the lower lawn, the grounds lead through our gardens to a secluded section of Lake Wakatipu's beach.

All levels of the lodge and apartment open onto expansive decks enjoying lake and mountain scenic vistas; and offering even further opportunities for secluded relaxation, private dining, or social entertaining.
