It may be our Lodge, but it's your vacation and, while you're with us, it's your home. Accommodation at Amokura is therefore tailored to your wants and your needs, not prescribed by us.

For a truly private retreat, we offer a self contained apartment. With open plan, spacious living and dining, a full kitchen with gas cooking, and two bedrooms, the apartment offers quiet privacy and relaxing seclusion.

The bedrooms, as well as the living and dining areas, all face the lakefront, and enjoy panoramic views of the aptly named Remarkables mountain range overseeing the lake itself. This is truly a magnificent and unparallelled vista to wake up to, and to go to bed with.

In warmer months, indoor air conditioning, and private outdoor decking, patio and lawns, make our apartment the perfect summer retreat. Secluded spaciousness encourages full enjoyment of the summer season, and allows patio breakfasts, lawn lunches, and deck dinners all to suit.

On cooler days, gas fires, heat pumps, underfloor heating, and the highest standards of thermal insulation all ensure our apartment is the perfect winter haven after a day's skiing. Even better, our gas fired "hot water on demand" ensures endless hot water to help you recuperate from the slopes.

Inclusion of the lodge guest wing can enlarge the apartment to up to four bedrooms.

If you're looking for a more social vacation, we invite you to be our guests in the Lodge. The guest wing, containing guest bedrooms and ensuite bathroom, is on its own level, ensuring your privacy. But as our lodge guest we encourage you to enjoy all the facilities the main lodge level has to offer:

• A sun drenched gallery opening onto the upper lawn and alfresco dining;
• A spacious lounge overlooking the lake for relaxing in front of the fire;
• A home theatre system for enjoying movies or watching the game on the big screen;
• Dining for twelve available for entertaining guests of your own;
• Expansive lake facing decks for relaxing amidst magnificent scenery;

Architecturally designed to make the most of the magnificent vistas offered by the Wakatipu Basin's gorgeous landscape, almost every room in Amokura partakes of the stunning view.
